Clodagh McKeena shared an exhausted selfie and revealed she was in her local pub with a “cocktail in hand” after being interrupted by Jimmy Carr during Friday’s This Morning show.

The TV chef, 48, found her segment continually interrupted by the comedian, 51, as furious fans branded her behavior “rude” and praised the cook for maintaining her composure.

After the tense exchange, Clodagh shared a snap alongside hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary notably thinking without Jimmy.

One follower commented: “Bet you need a break, hope you get one,” to which Clodagh replied: “Currently with a cocktail in hand in our pub.”

During her cooking demonstration, the chef had tended to a chicken carcass while recommending viewers place it in a saucepan, while presenting three ways to cook a single chicken, Jimmy interjected: ‘What?’ Don’t have a trash can?

Throw it in the bin! It’s over, the chicken is over,’ he insisted, speaking over Clodagh.

Jimmy proceeded to mock the chef and talk over her as she boasted about the taste of some chicken broth she had made, he joked: ‘Wait until she hears about bouillon cubes!’

After she finished cooking, Jimmy joined Alison and Dermot as they sampled the vegetable and chicken dish, but the comedian took his jokes to another level when he criticized Clodagh’s dish by suggesting it lacked chicken.

Clodagh smiled politely after the comment as Dermot put an arm around the TV chef to comfort her, telling her: “It’s a tough job when you’re interrupted by one of the UK’s top comedians.”

Fans quickly took to the comments of her Instagram post to say it was “amazing” despite the “rude interference” throughout her segment.

“Well done for biting your tongue at Jimmy Carr’s rudeness and the hosts were clearly mortified.”

‘You were amazing Clodagh under extreme interference!!!’

‘Jimmy Carr was incredibly rude to you and Dermot and Alison clearly felt uncomfortable. It’s a shame the producers couldn’t get him removed or at least point out that he was being rude and ruining your article.

‘Jimmy Carr was funny, wasn’t he?…NO!’

“I felt so sorry for you, Jimmy Carr was just rude and not funny at all.”

“Jimmy Carr was very rude to you C, you were fabulous, thank you very much.”

This is not the first time Jimmy has been criticized. Last year, viewers branded the comedian “painfully unfunny” after he shared a selection of his controversial jokes from his Netflix show to promote his US tour.

The comedian took to X, formerly known as Twitter, over the weekend to share a video of “the time I tried to tell a 9/11 joke to a room full of Americans” ahead of his US tour, Terribly Funny.

In the clip, Jimmy compared the 2001 terrorist attacks in New York, in which nearly 3,000 people lost their lives, to the moment Zayn Malik left One Direction in 2015.

He said on A Netflix Is A Joke Festival: “What I’m saying on stage tonight is barely acceptable right now.” In ten years, forget it.

‘Now you might think this is nonsense, but it is absolutely true. When Zayn left One Direction, it was like 9/11 for me; I didn’t care about that either.

‘Actually, I was supposed to be on one of the planes on 9/11, but the most interesting story is how I met Osama.

‘I can see there is a real generational divide. Some people look at me as if to say, “9/11 continues,” and other people look at me as if to say, “don’t mention his name in vain.”

Other jokes in the three-minute clip included asking if someone was in a controlling relationship and jokes about paying for sex.

But the jokes also fell flat for those who saw the clip, with viewers calling the segment “embarrassing” and trying “too hard to be nervous.”

One wrote: ‘God how bad it was’ and ‘He fell so badly, what is this?’

“The joke was very bad,” said another. “These were so embarrassing.”

“This is like a nervous 14-year-old editor trying to do monologues” and “in many of these jokes he tries to be so nervous that it’s no longer funny.”

The prank sparked controversy when the Netflix show aired in 2021.
