Bawumia conducts campaign tour in the western region

The flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has embarked on a two-day campaign tour of the Western Region in preparation for the upcoming 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.

His tour began on Wednesday, May 1, with a series of engagements aimed at interacting with various segments of the population.

It began by meeting drivers and saleswomen at the Kojokrom main truck station, followed by a house-to-house campaign in the Kojokrom area.

Later that day, he held a special meeting with the Party’s Regional Executive Committee at the Raybow Hotel in Takoradi.

The second day, Thursday, May 2, Dr. Bawumia began with a breakfast meeting with religious leaders.

He then paid a courtesy visit to members of the Western Region House of Chiefs in Sekondi.

He later met the fishermen at the European town fishing port in Sekondi and commissioned the first phase of the reconstruction of the Appiatse community in the Prestea Huni-Valley municipality.

To conclude his tour, Dr Bawumia scheduled a meeting with the Small Scale Miners Association, artisans and youth groups in Tarkwa.
